The Art Of Doing Nice Things For People OR Should I Say Trying to Gain Good Karma....?

I live my life by the Golden Rule "Treat Others as You Want to Be Treated" but what if you continue to treat people good and get nothing in return from that person. As I sat in my living room one day and was watching Sponge Bob Square Pants with bub I had the biggest aha moment. Sponge Bob had a lot of money and everyone wanted to be his friend. He thought this was his good karma but eventually the money ran out and everyone disapeared except for Patrick. Sponge Bob was very down and upset and asked Patrick why he wanted to be his friend he no longer has money he said that he never cared about the money just wanted his friendship. See right there that was Sponge Bobs good karma. I believe if you do things for people that you care about without question wheather it be a special gift or helping them with a task you will be greatly rewarded down the road. I myself love doing things for people and love giving gifts to people I care about. I made my brother and my soon to be sister-in-law a very nice gift for no reason. Even though my brother lives across the globe I know the thought that I did this is enough to know I care. So hope everyone can brighten someones day and recieve some great karma!!!
